The small studio at the foot of the valley

Dinoferndale began with one stubborn idea: dinosaurs deserve gentle games too. Most of us grew up wandering museum halls, staring up at skeletons, and spending wet half-terms on fossil hunts along the coast with buckets and hopeful little hammers. We wanted to bottle that feeling of finding something wonderful in the rock and turn it into six games you can open in a browser tab.

So we invented a valley. It has a misty lagoon with a waterfall, a striped cliff where a horned skeleton is slowly being brushed free, and a cheerful volcano that puffs heart-shaped smoke. Around base camp lives a crew of friendly animals, and leading the way is Dottie, a freckled baby triceratops who never goes anywhere without her satchel and her brass magnifying glass.

Every game here is written by us from scratch, without borrowed engines or libraries. We sketch it, build a rough version, then play it far too much, adjusting the bounce of a putt or the timing of a hop until it feels right in the hand. The paintings and characters are made for the valley, so each game feels like part of the same expedition.

We are still small, and we like it that way. It means we can spend a whole afternoon arguing about how far a bubble should travel before it settles, or whether a slide puzzle tile should click or clunk. If you enjoy what we have dug up so far, the best thing you can do is play, tell a friend, and send us your ideas.

01

Gentle worlds, honest games

Cheerful dinosaurs, bright colours and nothing frightening, paired with rules that are clear from the first round and scores that come only from what you do.

02

Polish over quantity

We would rather have six games that feel lovely than twenty that feel rushed. Every update goes into making what is here a little better.
